  • Washington Foundation Native American Graduate Fellowship

    The Fellowship upholds Dennis Washington's long time vision of promoting the betterment of society and the development of a highly diverse workforce through education.

    MSU will award one fellowship that will consist of:

        * $10,000 annual stipend renewable for a second year
        * Designation as a research or teaching assistant
        * Montana Native American Tuition Waiver

    Eligibility requirements:

    • Applicants must be accepted to a Master's or Doctoral Degree program at the Graduate School of Montana State University
    • Minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate and 3.0 during any graduate program work
    • One page typed essay describing reasons for pursuing graduate education and goals for the application of graduate education
    • Graduate form a 4-year regionally accredited institution of higher learning anywhere in the United States
    • Five letters of reference, including two from nonacademic individuals
    • Appropriate standardized test score, if required by program
    • Montana resident
    • Member of a Montana Indian Tribe

    Send a letter stating your eligibility requirements and application materials to The Division of Graduate Education. Please include your MSU student ID number.  Deadline for Academic Year 2009-2010 is August 3, 2009.
