MSU Class Rolls
Welcome to the MSU Class Roll service. Instructors of record and academic office staff may use this service to view and print class rolls, download class roll data files (suitable for spreadsheet, database and iClicker use) or submit the Undergraduate Early Alert/D&F Report for any course or any section in a particular course subject area. The class rolls are updated nightly.
New users: In order to maintain the requisite security you must be personally authorized before you can access the class rolls. Please note: The class rolls are derived from the Banner student database, but are not a core part of MyInfo; therefore a separate authentication is required to use this service. To apply for access follow the instructions at the bottom of this page.
Current users -- changes to authentication: The Class Roll service is joining Desire2Learn, the Libraries, and other systems in using common NetID credentials for authentication. You may now log in using either NetID credentials (same as D2L) or your legacy username and password, but at the end of Fall semester 2009 the NetID will become the sole credential. Please select the button below that indicates how you wish to log in.
If you need assistance please send e-mail to classrolls@montana.edu.
Use NetID credentials: If you have not already done so, you may obtain your NetID and set your NetID password at password.montana.edu. You may log in to the class roll system using either your NetID or first.last username as displayed in the account credential section of the password service, and your NetID password.
Use legacy username and password: For those of you using the MyInfo PIN for your password, your PIN has been frozen as of October 22 due to the Banner conversion. Please use your 6-character PIN as of that date. If you cannot get your PIN to work, please see above to get and use NetID credentials to log in.
If you need access to class rolls but have not yet been authorized to do so please send e-mail to classrolls@montana.edu stating all of the following:
- Your name
- Your department
- Whether you are faculty, GTA, or staff
- Which specific course subject areas (like PHYS or MGMT) that you need to access
This authorization only needs to be done one time; it will be carried over from one term to the next. Please be patient and allow at least one full business day. You will receive instructions via return e-mail.
All uses of this service are recorded.
