Four of our Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) alumni were featured in a recent article highlighting their experiences and impact after participating in MSU's six-week program.They shared how the program enhanced their teaching practices, provided leadership skills, and inspired vision projects to improve education in their home countries.

Since 2016, the partnership between MSU’s Fulbright TEA cohorts and the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club has led to grants for FTEA participants to fund educational projects in their home countries.

Yui Nakama, Okinawa Global Leadership Program alumna, is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy and Public Administration at the George Washington University under the Fulbright scholarship. Her research focuses on Space Safety, Security and Sustainability Policy, drawing upon her background in Economics and International Politics gained at the University of Tokyo, Japan

In January 2024, she started a new job as an assistant for the Summit for Space Sustainability at Secure World Foundation in D.C.

Yui is also a Global Fellow at European Space Policy Institute in Vienna, a Senior Consultant at Euroconsult, and a Space Business Specialist at Green Carbon Inc. in Tokyo.

The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Student Leaders Program ignited Wasim Abu Salem's passion for teaching Arabic programming to Arab children in Israel, leading to the creation of Loop, which has now impacted over 15,000 students and incubated start-ups. Now, he's meeting with global dignitaries and inspiring a new generation of MEPI students.

Nora Chaynane, a Student Leaders Program alumnus of 2019, has successfully formed the business she had envisioned at the start of the program. It is called "Shine Space," and its aim is to give students the personal and professional skills they need to prepare for the career realm.
