PAAC Minutes - May 2, 2022
Attendees: Evan Burnett, Elizabeth Cramblet, Josh DeWeese, Olivia Hayes, Keely Holmes, Kris Johnson, Richard Rudnicki
3rd Floor Reid Hall
- Elizabeth Cramblet, campus planner, presented this proposal for an art installation of 15 matted and framed prints of Montana Harvest of the Month posters on the 3rd floor of Reid Hall.
- Richard Rudnicki emphasized that this would be of zero-cost to Facilities Services or PAAC.
- Kris Johnson made a motion to approve with the amendment to include a plaque with
artist information.
- Josh DeWeese seconded the motion.
- PAAC voted to approve the motion unanimously.
Reid Hall Art Installation
- Elizabeth Cramblet, campus planner, presented this proposal for an art installation of two student paintings on the 4th floor of Reid Hall.
- Education, Health, and Human Development will be purchasing these two paintings from the artist, Hannah Rients, an elementary education major with an art education minor.
- Josh DeWeese moves to approve given that there won’t be any cost to PAAC or Facilities
Services, and that the department with take responsibility for installation.
- Keely Holmes seconded the motion.
- PAAC voted to approve the motion unanimously.
3. Art Process
- Richard Rudnicki presented this item to create a standard process for the committee.
- Staff has developed the attached draft process document for the procurement of art. This process document outlines both the staff and PAAC roles in choosing art. It includes information such as decision criteria and an outline of the RFP/RFQ process for the selection of art. Additionally a timeline has been included for reference on how this selection process aligns with a construction project.
- Kris Johnson suggested sharing the document with the committee through one drive to add individual comments to the document.
- Due to the lack of committee members in attendance, this item will be discussed in the next meeting as well.
