MSU Student Wellness provides free Narcan training to students by Health Educators who are certified to provide this training.

Learning how to administer Narcan/naloxone in an actual or suspected opioid overdose is an evidence-based harm reduction strategy. Since widespread Narcan training has been launched across the US, opioid overdose fatalities have diminished.

Training

Register online to attend a training. Sessions last 30-45 minutes and topics include facts about Fentanyl and opioid overdoses, the lacing or contamination of prescription or party drugs, how to recognize signs of a potential opioid overdose, how to administer Narcan/naloxone, and resources for substance use assessment/treatment.
