Who can use the ARC facility at MSU?

Our facility offers services to internal MSU researchers, external academics, nonprofits, and commercial/industry clients. All non-MSU users must sign a Testing Services Agreement (TSA), which can be initiated by the core facility manager.

To get started using the ARC, simply reach out to arc@montana.edu or (406) 994-6806 and we will guide you through the appropriate steps.

Required Training

All onsite ARC users must complete the IACUC Training and Animal Welfare Training & ARC orientation, in this sequence. IACUC Training must be completed before you can access Topaz, which is where you will submit your protocol and eventually place animal orders.

The Animal Welfare Training & ARC Orientation occurs every third Thursday of each month from 12PM-2PM. Please ensure that you have completed ALL IACUC training prior to registering for orientation. You can register for orientation by emailing arc@montana.edu

Planning

IACUC Committee meetings occur on the third Wednesday of every other month from 12PM-2PM, unless otherwise noted. Please plan your study timeline accordingly.

If you have questions regarding your IACUC protocol submission, please contact the IACUC Program Manager, Diane Dorgan, at dorgan@montana.edu
