Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) promotes civic engagement, leadership, and community involvement by connecting students with opportunities to make a difference on campus and beyond.

Through our Elections team, ASMSU supports a transparent student government election process and provides opportunities for students to serve in both elected and appointed leadership positions. Our Government Affairs department empowers students to participate in legislative advocacy and engage with policymakers in Helena, ensuring the MSU community has a voice in local and state issues that affect students.

The ASMSU Outreach Team works to connect students with opportunities to get involved, while promoting voter access, civic responsibility, leadership, and engagement across campus. Together, these efforts help students understand their voice and give them meaningful opportunities to use it.

ASMSU Elections

ASMSU elections provide an opportunity for MSU students to choose their representatives who wield influence over student programs, a substantial budget, and have a history of effecting significant positive changes on campus.
