Leon Johnson Hall
Leon Johnson hall holds offices and laboratories for Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology, Land Resources and Environmental Sciences, the Thermal Biology Institute, Cell Biology and Neuroscience, Earth Sciences, and Ecology. It also houses the Center for Native Health Partnerships and is headquarters for the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) Medical Program. Montana students in the WWAMI Program complete their first year of medical school at MSU before transferring to the University of Washington. The Spatial Sciences Center (SSC) is also located in Leon Johnson Hall. SSC is a state of the art facility providing GIS/GPS hardware, software and human support to MSU and Montana.
Completed in 1976, this eight-story edifice, named after Leon Johnson, MSU’s president, 1964-69, offers visitors a beautiful view of Bozeman, the Bridger Mountains and the Gallatin Valley from the eighth floor.
