For those seeking professional services, Counseling & Psychological Services provides free counseling, and Student Medical Services provides free medical/medication consultation.

Mental Health Screening

Take a free, anonymous mental health screening to give yourself a mental health check up. Use the resources on this page to help, or students can schedule a meeting with an MSU counselor.

Let's Talk Drop-In

If you have a brief concern, or just want to see if counseling could be helpful, use our Let's Talk drop in option (not for crisis--for crisis appointments visit the counseling center).

Single Session Option

A single session appointment provides students the opportunity to meet with a CPS counselor for support regarding a specific concern. It is meant to be a one-time only appointment and is ideal for students who have determined they are not in need of ongoing counseling services. Students who elect this option will not complete the intake process required for beginning on-going services. To schdule, callCPS for an appointment or visit our main page and select the "Single Session" appt button at the top. If you try to schedule online and it says "none available," please call and we can schedule you manually.  

Suicide Prevention

Learn skills to help a friend or student with the free, online Mindwise SOS training. To access, choose the appropriate module - Students or Faculty/Staff (coming in July!) - follow the instructions to create an account and set password, and use MSU for the redemption code. Visit the Suicide Prevention page for additional training opportunities like ACT to Prevent Suicide, QPR, and Mental Health First Aid.  

MSU Assist

MSU Assist is a short guide to help faculty, staff, and those who interact with MSU students support mental health needs or assist those who are in distress.

Self Help

WellTrack

WellTrack is a self-help app with information and skills to help with stress managmenet, relaxation, public speaking, depression, and anxiety. Find it here or on your app store. Free for MSU Students!

Social and Peer Support

Suicide Prevention with Active Minds

Suicide Prevention with Active Minds is our student group to provide mental health awareness and advocacy on campus through events, campaigns, and fundraising. 

Project Connect

Project Connect is a peer-facilitated program that helps students meet and get to know students outside of their social group, and build stronger community on campus. 

Group Counseling

There are a variety of support groups and classes offered at CPS for students who'd like to receive treatment within a confidential group of peers that is facilitated by staff members. 

Outdoors, & Activity

Group Fitness

A variety of Group Fitness classes are available throughout the week to add some fun to fitness and activity. 

Personal Training

Meet one-on-one with a personal trainer at the MSU Gym. Options for group training are also available.

Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor Rec provides equipment rentals, educational clinics & classes, and hosts recreation trips.

Sports

A variety of opportunities to play various sports are available through Intramurals and Club Sports

Medical

Visit with medical provider at Student Health Services for a range of medical services, including illness or injury, wellness visits, COVID-19, sexual & reproductive health, mental health, and LGBTQ+ health. Travel Health also provides travel health education, and consultation for those preparing to travel internationally or study abroad.     

Dental

Routine cleanings and emergency treatment can be provided for most students in addition to complete examinations, fillings, and crowns. Learn more at Dental Services

Substance Use

The INSIGHT Alcohol & Drug Assistance Center provides substance use assessment and counseling, and the Center for Recovering Students offers a variety of support groups and substance-free social and outdoor activities.  

Food & Nutrition

Nutrition counseling, meal planning, and education is available through Nutrition Services. 

The Bounty of the Bridgers Food Pantry provides supplemental and emergency food assistance to students, faculty, staff, and family members at no cost. The Office of Off-Campus Student Life provides support and referrals for students experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, or financial difficulties. 

Pharmacy

The MSU Pharmacy provides prescription and over-the-counter medications (often at a much lower price!).

Campus Civil Rights

MSU Campus Civil Rights (CCR) responds to concerns regarding all types ofdiscrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It also responds to concerns of stalking, dating violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
