- Curriculum and Instruction MEd Professional Educator online program is non-research (non-thesis) and no comprehensive exam, requiring a chair and no committee members
- Curriculum and Instruction MEd Educational Researcher route requires a chair and two committee members, as well as comprehensive exam and defense of thesis
- Educational Leadership MEd is non-research (non-thesis) and no comprehensive exam, requiring a chair and no committee members
- Adult and Higher Education MEd is a non-research requiring a chair and two committee members, as well as comprehensive exam
- EdS, EdD and PhD require a chair and three committee members
- Certificate Students are automatically assigned a chair.
