Graduate Pathways for Tribal College Faculty
The amazing faculty at Montana’s Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU) are not only committed to educating their students, but they are also conducting scholarship key to their community and engaging Tribal College students in novel research.
In a new partnership, Montana State University (MSU) is providing tuition waivers to TCU faculty who are working towards completing their masters or doctorate at MSU. The scholarship the faculty complete counts towards their tenure and promotion and their or dissertation research.
The faculty scholars in this program are.
Rennie Winkelman , a faculty member in the Life Sciences Department at Salish Kootenai College. She is doing her PhD at MSU in Ecology and Environmental Science.
Kyle Roessler a faculty member in the Life Sciences Department at Salish Kootenai College. He is doing his PhD at MSU in Microbiology.
Eva Flying, President of Chief Dull Knife College. She is doing her PhD at MSU in Education Leadership
Rosemary Matt, Native Language Teacher Education Dept. Chair at Salish Kootenai College
George Belcourt, a science instructor at Stone Child College and is doing his PhD in Indigenous and Rural Health.
Kassandra Murphy, who currently holds the position of Department Chair for Social Work and Chemical Dependency, as well as Co-Dean of the Social Science Division at SKC.
Bryan Brazil, an instructor in the Tribal Governance Department at SKC
Zachary Lenning, who teaches a broad range of courses at Aaniiih Nakoda College.
Lewis Yellowmule, an instructor in the Crow Studies Department at Little Big Horn College and is completing their MA in Native American Studies.
Douglas (Vance) Crooked Arm, an instructor in the Crow Studies Department at Little Big Horn College and is completing their MA in Native American Studies.
Sara Plaggemeyer, science faculty at Little Big Horn College, who is doing their PhD in Animal and Range Sciences.
Sandy Filesteel, nursing faculty at Aaniiih Nakoda College, who is doing their MN in Nursing
